ABOUT US
The Auburn Community Concert Band is celebrating its 43rd season. Since 1982, the band has been presenting free weekly concerts in downtown Auburn throughout each summer season. These concerts take place every Wednesday evening at Festival Plaza on Main Street, one block south of Great Falls Plaza.

In 2024, our outdoor summer concerts are scheduled each Wednesday from June 26 through August 21, weather permitting. Concert times are 7:00 to 8:15 p.m.

Each Wednesday evening performance offers a different program of music. Each weekly program always includes well-known hit songs from the 60's to the present, making the band concerts popular with both young and old.

In the case of inclement weather (summer or winter), a message will be posted on this website by 5:00 p.m., announcing the status of that evening's performance.

This year's 2024 ensemble includes nearly 50 volunteer musicians, who range in age from teen's to 80's, and represent some 15 central and western Maine communities.

The band's summer outdoor concerts commonly attract an average of 200 - 300 people each week, with some 400-plus people often in attendance at the band's annual Holiday Concert each December!

This year's free Holiday performance will take place on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at the brand new Donald M. Gay Performing Arts Center located at Edward Little High School in Auburn.
